lumos
lumos is a custom controller I built to control my Wiz lights without needing an account or using their first-party app. It scans a local network, exposes all connected Wiz lights, and lets me map them easily to my HomeKit setup. To make this easy to use for my wife and house guests, I built a simple sharing experience that uses Bluetooth Low Energy to broadcast the light configurations.
lumos progressively discloses light controls which makes it easy to flick lights on or off as well as accessing more granular controls.
A custom radial color picker exposes quick temperature ranges while giving access to a full palette.
The app icon design is inspired by the sconces in my apartment combined with the light control UI.
